Between April and May 2005 St. Peter’s was the focus of worldwide attention upon the passing of pope John Paul II, his funeral, the conclave and pope Benedict XVI’s election. Edy, which was there for the whole period, arranged 4 advanced curative outposts in the city’s nerve-centres - St Peter’s Square, Piazza Risorgimento, the Imperial Forums, Tor Vergata - furnishing emergency medical assistance to pilgrims from the world over.
