Nassirya, General Head Quarters of the Arm of the Carabinieri - 2003

Italy is asked to participate in stabilising Iraq after the end of the Iraqi Freedom military operation by providing armed forces- inclusive of the Arm of the Carabinieri - with peacekeeping objectives. In the framework of the “Ancient Babilonia” mission, the Carabinieri are deployed at Nassiriya, in the Dhi Qar region. Edy provided the facilities for arranging the Nassiriya base camp to accommodate Carabinieri in their peace mission.
